The theme today in NYS's Capital District seem to be one of earthquakes as the area experienced the effects of two separate quakes.

According to geologists at the NYS Museum in Albany in NY's Upper Hudson, the Virginia quake was experienced locally as a 4.0-4.9 magnitude, while a smaller local quake, occuring in the southern part of the county, registered a 2.2 on the Richter scale.
